EASTERN REGION TEXTILE FORUM PRESENTS OWEN JONES
Letchworth Musuem and Art Gallery, until 28th May 2011

Owen Jones was an influential 19th century architect and designer, probably best known today for his publication, The Grammar of Ornament. This exhibition is the response Eastern Region Textile Forum members have given to the decorative designs and motifs of Owen Jones. Some of the exhibits have responded purely to the decorative whilst others have given thought and consideration to his design theories. This makes for an eclectic and diverse exhibition.

The exhibition is accompanied by members' sketchbooks and design work together with a programme of Meet The Makers Days and short workshops, particularly aimed at school age children. My work and that of Beverley Folkard will be displayed at this exhibition.
